Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking Civil/Structural/Highway interns for the New England Branch with offices in Boston, MA, Wilmington, MA, Bedford, NH and Portsmouth, NH.

Interns will perform field investigations, analysis, 3D design, drafting, plan development, report writing, contractor submittal reviews, and construction-phase site visits. Interns will work with experienced project teams on civil, bridge, highway, and water resources engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in engineering with an interest in civil/structural/highway engineering.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in an office to gain full experience alongside engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and design.
• Prepare cohesive calculations and documentation.
• Draft using 3D CADD software (MicroStation/AutoCAD).
• Assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop task deliverables for review by a Senior Engineer.
• Adhere to schedules and budgets.
• Participate in field inspections of future project locations and active construction sites.
• Assist with report writing.
