Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks Civil/Structural/Highway interns for the New England Branch with offices in Boston, MA.

Interns will perform field investigations, analysis, 3D design, drafting, plan development, report writing, and site visits, gaining exposure to civil, bridge, highway and water resources engineering. Ideal candidates have strong written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• A student pursuing a degree in engineering with interest in civil/structural/highway engineering.
• Good communicator, energetic, and able to work in the office to obtain the full experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and design.
• Prepare cohesive and organized engineering calculations.
• Draft and detail using 3D CADD software.
• Assist with layout and quantity development.
• Develop task deliverables for review by a Senior Engineer.
• Follow schedule and budget constraints.
• Participate in field inspections of future project locations and active construction sites.
• Assist with report writing.
