Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking Civil/Structural/Highway interns for the New England Branch with offices in Boston, MA, Wilmington, MA, Bedford, NH and Portsmouth, NH.

Interns will perform field investigations, analysis, 3D design, drafting and report writing under supervision. The role offers exposure to civil, bridge, highway and water resources projects, with emphasis on using MicroStation/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• A student pursuing a degree in engineering with interest in civil/structural/highway engineering and good communication skills.
• Energetic, proactive, and able to work in an office to gain full internship experience.
• Proficient with basic MS Word/Excel; able to use SharePoint and Teams to coordinate with the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis and design.
• Prepare cohesive and organized engineering calculations.
• Detail and draft using 3D CADD software (MicroStation/AutoCAD).
• Assist with geometric layout and quantity development.
• Develop task deliverables for review by a Senior Engineer.
• Perform tasks according to schedule and budget.
• Work independently under supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Participate in field inspections of future project locations and active construction sites.
• Assist with report writing.
