Job summary

Kinectrics Inc. is seeking a civil/structural engineer to perform design and analysis for power plant projects, using 3-D modeling and FEA. You will create construction drawings, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure designs meet project and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET/EAC) and 2–5 years of relevant experience. A hybrid work schedule is offered, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and technical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• 2-5 years progressively more responsible pertinent experience.
• Knowledge of civil/structural engineering fundamentals including mechanics, hydraulics, materials science and statistics.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components and supports, including conceptual studies and seismic analysis.
• Develop 3-D analytical models utilizing FEA techniques and seismic analysis methods.
• Assist with development of design and construction drawings.
• Coordinate among engineering disciplines and with utilities/municipalities.
• Manage tasks for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget; prepare as-built documentation on site.
