Job summary

PLC Construction, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Engineering Services Division in Liberty, TX.

You will provide structural design for steel structures and foundations across upstream and midstream oil and gas projects, from concept through construction deliverables. You'll oversee ECNs, perform site walkdowns, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and develop complete engineering packages while ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Foundation design experience (spread footings, mat foundations, drilled piers).
• Concrete design experience with anchorage to concrete (ACI 318).
• Structural steel design experience for buildings, supports, platforms and seismic considerations.
• Experience with steel connection design and detailing.
• Knowledge of U.S. building codes including IBC and ASCE 7; experience with gas facilities preferred.
• Active P.E. registration, ability to obtain licensure in additional states; NCEES a plus.
• 6–10 years of civil/structural design experience for steel and reinforced concrete.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ECN development for design updates and ensure QA/Safety compliance.
• Perform site walkdowns, gather field data, and conduct structural analyses.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop design drawings and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review drawings detailing systems and structures.
• Travel to project sites as needed to support scope development and startup activities.
• Lead coordination meetings to clarify scope, requirements, and priorities.
• Mentor designers and ensure constructible, safe designs.
