Civil Engineering Consultants, Inc. - Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team of engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors.

You will design residential and commercial sites, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with clients and contractors to drive project success. Responsibilities include preparing stormwater plans, performing structural analyses, and producing detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Proven civil/structural engineering experience focused on land development and concrete design.
• Hands-on with structural analysis software including Mathcad, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS tools.
• Strong knowledge of building code analysis, construction regs, and safety standards.
• Experience in scheduling, project management, and technical report writing.
• Construction experience and site supervision are valued; good client communication.

Responsibilities

• Design residential, commercial site layouts and concrete underground structures.
• Collaborate with PMs, architects, contractors and clients on schedules and execution.
• Review plans for code compliance; oversee construction for quality and safety.
• Prepare stormwater management plans and related documentation.
• Develop steel, concrete, masonry structural designs and select materials.
• Perform detailed structural analyses to ensure safety and code adherence.
• Produce technical reports, calculations, and clear client communication documents.
