Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure and Capital Projects, LLC seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to perform independent design assurance reviews for utility-scale projects, focusing on civil/structural deliverables and field coordination in a heavy industrial context. You will oversee foundations, structural supports, and interfaces with OEM equipment, while ensuring compliance with codes, safety, and constructability standards on-site in St.

Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related field.
• 8+ years of civil/structural engineering experience on large capital projects in power generation or process industries.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing civil and structural designs for large industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, geotechnical interfaces, site development, grading/drainage, underground utilities, and industrial structures.
• Working knowledge of codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, AWS, ASTM.
• Ability to read and evaluate civil plans, drawings, calculations, geotechnical reports, vendor loads, specs, and shop drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate field conditions, develop practical recommendations, and communicate with engineers, contractors, OEMs, and client stakeholders.
• Ability to perform field walkdowns and comply with PPE and site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent design assurance reviews of civil and structural deliverables for utility-scale CCGT projects.
• Review site development plans, grading, drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, and structures.
• Evaluate geotechnical inputs and ensure proper incorporation into designs.
• Provide technical oversight of foundations and structural supports for major equipment.
• Assess interfaces among OEM loads, EoR foundations, utilities, and building layouts.
• Review structural calculations, drawings, specs, and anchor systems for completeness.
• Review RFIs, design deviations, field changes, and provide owner-side recommendations.
• Assess NCRs and field quality issues; propose mitigation or repair plans.
• Conduct constructability reviews and field walkdowns to identify conflicts.
