Actalent is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of major industrial facilities, including refineries, LNG plants, and petrochemical projects in the Houston area.

You will contribute across EPC projects from FEED through construction, delivering safe, code-compliant structural solutions and coordinating with geotechnical and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial structural engineering.
• Experience with refinery, LNG, petrochemical or gas facilities.
• Knowledge of AISC, ACI, ASCE codes and standards.
• Experience supporting EPC projects from FEED through construction.
• Foundation design, equipment supports, and steel structures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• PE license preferred.

Civil / Structural Engineer

Join a team delivering complex industrial and energy projects.

We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to support the design and execution of major industrial facilities, including refineries, LNG plants, petrochemical facilities, and gas processing projects. In this role, you'll work across EPC projects from FEED through construction, developing safe, efficient, and code-compliant structural solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design structural steel and reinforced concrete systems for industrial facilities
• Develop foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, substations, and control buildings
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports

What We're Looking For

• Experience with refinery, LNG, petrochemical, chemical, or gas processing facilities
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and ASCE codes and standards
• Experience supporting EPC projects from FEED through construction
• Background in foundation design, equipment supports, and steel structures
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills
• PE license preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $100.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
