Job summary

IREN is seeking a Construction Superintendent – Civil in Childress, TX to lead civil and structural work for large-scale data-center infrastructure. You will manage earthworks, foundations, steel, and underground utilities, ensuring safety, schedule and quality in fast-paced environments.

The role requires field leadership, coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, and a focus on delivering high-performance compute facilities with a strong governance mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of civil construction experience with 3+ years as superintendent on industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil methods: concrete, grading, paving, underground utilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, schedules; lead teams safely.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with Procore, Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily civil construction activities: earthworks, concrete, steel, utilities.
• Monitor subcontractors and ensure safety, productivity, and quality.
• Enforce OSHA and site safety standards; conduct toolbox talks.
• Maintain compliance with drawings, specs, and industry standards; address deficiencies.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement teams; report progress.
• Keep records: daily reports, schedules, change orders for project reporting.
• Resolve on-site challenges to keep project on track.
