Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. seeks a Civil Solar Assistant Superintendent to drive safety, quality and precision on civil construction projects. This on-site role involves partnering with the site superintendent and project manager to execute project plans and enforce PCL safety standards.

The position requires a Journeyman certificate or engineering degree, plus several years of field supervision experience and the ability to manage diverse trades on site across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certificate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Working towards NCSO designation (IND) preferred.
• 3 years of experience in field engineer/field coordinator or lead hand role preferred.
• Experience supervising construction workforce.

Responsibilities

• Works with site superintendent and lead project manager, implements safety program and maintains records.
• Supervises, directs, coaches, trains and mentors the project team.
• Communicates effectively with own forces and trades to ensure quality, productivity and safety.
• Collaborates with project leadership to anticipate problems and schedule impacts.
• Liaises between field engineers and estimators to ensure construction complies with drawings.
