Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Camden, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Survey to lead survey operations as a key part of project supervision. You will align design intent with field performance and coordinate with the site team on safety, quality, and schedules.

Qualifications

Journeyman certificate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
3 years of experience in a field engineer / field coordinator position or lead hand / foreman role preferred.
Successfully supervised a construction workforce.
Knowledge of construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.
Understanding of project schedules and ability to identify the critical path.
Knowledge and understanding of scheduling software.
Knowledge of safety and environmental principles/procedures/legislation.
Ability to lead and run effective site meetings with client, consultants, trades, own forces work, and internal employees.
Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

Lead survey operations as part of project supervision.
Supervise and mentor the project team, including direct and indirect reports.
Effectively communicate with trades to meet performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements.
Collaborate with site superintendent or project manager to address potential problems and schedule difficulties.
Liaise between field engineers and estimators to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
Contribute to the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and assist with lookahead schedules.
Monitor the project construction plan and schedule.
Review contracts and subcontracts, including risk and mitigation plans.
Maintain project administration correspondence and documentation requirements.
