Job summary

Integrity Federal Services (IFS) is seeking a Civil Site Drafter/Designer in Beachwood, OH to support engineers in designing site development projects, including grading and drainage. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential, with field data collection and collaboration across teams.

A bachelor’s in civil engineering is preferred but not required. The role offers a competitive salary, a flexible schedule after 60 days, travel opportunities, and comprehensive benefits in a federal project

Responsibilities

• Designing site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and site development details using AutoCAD Civil 3D (must-have).
• Collecting and interpreting survey data, aerial imagery, and site topography to prepare design packages.
• Assisting with stormwater, utility, erosion, and sediment control designs.
• Preparing documentation and calculations for project plans and specifications.
• Conducting occasional site visits for field data collection and verification.
• Collaborating with engineers, drafters, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements.

What You’ll Do

As a Civil Site Drafter / Designer, you’ll support our team of engineers in designing and drafting site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing site layouts, grading and drainage plans, and site development details using AutoCAD Civil 3D (must-have)
• Collecting and interpreting survey data, aerial imagery, and site topography to prepare design packages
• Assisting with stormwater, utility, erosion, and sediment control designs
• Preparing documentation and calculations for project plans and specifications
• Conducting occasional site visits for field data collection and verification
• Collaborating with engineers, drafters, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred, but not required)
• Ability to work in both office and field environments
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Nice-to-Haves

• EIT or FE certification (a plus)
• Experience or internships in civil site design or land development
• Familiarity with surveying, stormwater management, and utilities design
