Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a professional civil engineer specializing in site development to join our Arlington, Texas team. This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a salary basis, offering growth through hands-on design work and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will lead engineers and technicians, supervise pavement, utilities, grading, and drainage projects, and cultivate client relationships while coordinating with City departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Professional engineer registration in Texas.
• 4 years of experience in the types of responsibilities listed above.
• Experience with entitlements such as Platting, Zoning, and Municipal Permitting.
• Experience with Site Planning and Development Master Planning.
• Grading and Drainage Design, Street and Alley Design, Water and Wastewater Design.
• Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis and Design; General Civil Design; Construction Management.
• Software including AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and management of engineers and technicians.
• Technical supervision and design capabilities in pavement, utilities, grading, site elements, and drainage.
• Client development and management, including relationships, financial accounting, and responsiveness.
• Familiarity with local zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other design criteria.
• Manage demands of in-house and external surveying support.
• Develops proposals, scopes, fees, and tracking performance.
• Development and maintenance of relationships with City departments.
• Presentations at hearings, Commissions, and Council meetings.
• Site Design for Office, Retail, Industrial, and Institutional Buildings; Residential Subdivisions; Municipal Roadway projects.
