Job summary

Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a Civil Site Construction Inspector to ensure the integrity and quality of site improvements.

You will perform field inspections, document conditions, and help ensure projects meet approved plans and specifications on a hands-on, collaborative team. This role requires five years of municipal/site-improvement inspection experience, strong field documentation, and proficiency with Survey123 and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience with municipal or authority site improvements.
  • Proven experience in all site improvements construction or inspection.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and municipal standards independently.
  • Strong field documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency using digital field tools (Survey123, ArcGIS, tablets, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of all site improvements to confirm quality and compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Maintain detailed daily documentation, including progress notes, field observations, contractor communications, and photo records.
  • Identify substandard or non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with contractors, municipal representatives, and project managers.
  • Communicate professionally with contractors, municipal personnel, utility operators, engineering staff, and stakeholders.
  • Utilize digital tools for data collection and reporting, including Survey123, ArcGIS, tablets, and GPS equipment as needed.
