Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Hackettstown, NJ, is seeking a CAD Drafter to join our Civil/Site Department. The ideal candidate will prepare detailed civil/site drawings and construction documents for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, surveys, and construction details are essential. The role requires coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certificate in CAD Drafting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience preparing civil/site drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, surveys, and construction details.
• Experience working on land development and municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise civil/site engineering plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Develop site layout, grading, utilities, roadway, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and landscaping plans.
• Incorporate design markups and redline revisions into engineering drawings.
• Create plan, profile, and detail sheets for land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate drawing production with engineers, surveyors, planners, and other technical staff.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company drafting standards.
• Organize and maintain project files, drawing records, and electronic documentation.
• Utilize survey data, aerial mapping, and GIS information to support project development.
• Assist with quantity calculations and preparation of construction details as needed.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
