Job summary

Bluebird Staffing seeks a Senior Civil Engineer to oversee transportation projects from concept through completion in Princeton, NJ or New York, NY. You will lead multi-discipline teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure quality design and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 5+ years of civil experience, and strong CAD/Civil3D/OpenRoads/Bluebeam skills to deliver accurate plans and robust highway designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience with horizontal and vertical alignment and roadway plans.
• Experience with Work Zone Traffic Control plans and MUTCD.
• Experience with grading, drainage, and erosion control plans.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D.
• Experience with NYCDDC/NYCDEP/NYCDOT/NYSDOT is desirable.
• Proficient in CAD software and Bluebeam; strong scheduling and communication skills.

Description

Full-service consulting engineering firm, with offices in New York, NY, Princeton, NJ, and Alpharetta, GA. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Princeton, NJ or New York, NY. The Senior Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing various projects from conception through completion, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Develop civil engineering plans, specifications and estimates.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with design specifications.
• Perform site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering roles.
• Experience with development of horizontal and vertical alignments, roadway construction plans.
