Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Civil Roadway Designer to join our Civil team in East Lansing, MI. You will work on transportation projects, performing modeling, analysis, designs and supporting calculations, while coordinating drafting for clients.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. The role requires collaboration in a team, data collection, and familiarization with codes and standard practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• E.I.T. (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of others.
• Coordinate drafting of project elements for transportation projects.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of CADD and Microsoft software.
