The University of Michigan, seeks a creative, innovative, and thoughtful person to join its Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX Office (ECRT). The successful candidate's primary responsibilities are to review and assess allegations of discrimination and harassment based on protected classes, including sexual and gender-based misconduct and claims involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The candidate may also resolve matters where appropriate, including holding conversations with individuals and/or units on ECRT matters.
Regular in-person presence is required and this position is based onsite at our office in Ann Arbor, Michigan. On occasion, you may need to work outside of traditional working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with campus partners and colleagues in addressing concerns of discrimination and harassment through consultations, written memorandum, and in other manners.
Maintain complete and accurate files and records, including documentation in ECRT's database.
Provide training and consultation on matters related to civil rights discrimination and harassment and sexual and gender-based misconduct to individuals, departments, and/or units on campus and at Michigan Medicine.
Performs related duties as assigned.
