Job summary

RTD - Regional Transportation District of Denver, CO (RTD) seeks a community outreach liaison for the Civil Rights Division to lead public outreach efforts and advance civil rights programs with diverse communities.

The role builds relationships with elected officials, disability organizations, small businesses and community leaders, coordinates presentations, and supports the Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in listed fields.
• Minimum 3 years of program administration experience in public/private/non-profit sectors.
• Minimum 2 years building relationships with community stakeholders and officials.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a community outreach liaison for Civil Rights outreach efforts.
• Develops and maintains relationships with external and internal stakeholders including elected officials, organizations that represent people with disabilities, small and disadvantaged businesses, and community leaders.
• Coordinates and delivers presentations as needed.
• Develops civil rights strategies and activities as part of the annual and quarterly public outreach planning processes.
• Provides support to the Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities.
