Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager for their Water & Wastewater Group in Charlottesville, VA. Qualifications

  • Ability to prepare specifications and materials research.

Job description

Timmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater candidate to join our Water & Wastewater Group located in our Charlottesville, VA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Managing assigned projects and developing client accounts successfully.
  • Marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, project scheduling, staff coordination, client communication, scope and fee negotiations, billing, and fee collection assistance.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and cross-selling Timmons Group services, with ongoing communication with the Group Leader.
  • Managing several mid-sized and small projects efficiently.

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with relevant work experience and a P.E. license in Virginia or other states where Timmons Group operates.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets.
  • Proficiency in design and management of project segments using office software, modeling, CADD, and engineering calculations.
  • Ability to prepare specifications, research materials, and assist in cost estimation.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, staff, and internal teams.
