Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Transportation Group candidate for our Transportation Design Group located in our Richmond, VA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects successfully and develop strong client relationships.
• Handle marketing, business development, technical quality, profitability, scheduling, project staff coordination, client communications, scope and fee negotiations, billing, and fee collection assistance.
• Maintain superior relationships with clients, cross-sell Timmons Group services, and communicate regularly with the Transportation Design Group Leader.
• Manage multiple projects of varying sizes simultaneously.

Skills/Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) preferred.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design, transportation engineering, active transportation, or water resource design, especially for government or land development clients.
• Understanding of project accounting, schedule, and budget management.
• Experience in marketing and supervising technical staff.
• Proficiency with relevant technical and office software.
• Professional attitude, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
