Westwood is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to join our Commercial Land Development team. We have a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets.
- Lead civil teams to produce civil plan sets.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, and outside team members to execute projects.
- Manage internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology, hydraulics) effectively, communicating technical details, schedules, and budgets.
- Implement QA/QC programs and ensure compliance within the project team.
- Work with City/County staff for project plan approvals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, allocating resources across different stages.
- Oversee construction services, including RFI responses and site meetings with contractors.
- Manage up to five technical personnel, including assigning tasks, reviewing work, training, maintaining morale, performance evaluations, and recommending promotions or raises.

Required Skills
- Strong competence in civil engineering design principles for land development.
- Experience in cost estimating, bid assistance, construction administration, and construction methods.
- Proficiency with CAD/Civil 3D and other production software, with ability to learn new technologies.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of total experience, with 4 years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; substitutions possible at management's discretion.
Preferred Experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or eligible for licensure.
