Civil Project Manager - Land Development

Westwood is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to join our Commercial Land Development team. We have a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Manage land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets.
  2. Lead civil teams to produce civil plan sets.
  3. Coordinate with owners, architects, and outside team members to execute projects.
  4. Manage internal support teams (survey, traffic, hydrology, hydraulics) effectively, communicating technical details, schedules, and budgets.
  5. Implement QA/QC programs and ensure compliance within the project team.
  6. Work with City/County staff for project plan approvals.
  7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, allocating resources across different stages.
  8. Oversee construction services, including RFI responses and site meetings with contractors.
  9. Manage up to five technical personnel, including assigning tasks, reviewing work, training, maintaining morale, performance evaluations, and recommending promotions or raises.

The position offers a competitive salary, determined by experience and qualifications, and is bonus-eligible with potential for additional financial rewards.

Required Skills
  • Strong competence in civil engineering design principles for land development.
  • Experience in cost estimating, bid assistance, construction administration, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency with CAD/Civil 3D and other production software, with ability to learn new technologies.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of total experience, with 4 years as a Project Manager or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; substitutions possible at management's discretion.
Preferred Experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or eligible for licensure.
