The role emphasizes client leadership, project delivery, and building relationships across communities in the Phoenix area. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering background, Arizona PE licensure, and a proven track record in managing design and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Arizona Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience with design, construction and project management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for diverse clients.
• Identify opportunities in private/public markets and win work.
• Maintain close relationships with clients through development to completion.
• Recruit, mentor, and collaborate with staff to foster a positive team.
• Stay current with regulatory programs, funding opportunities, and design standards.
• Represent SEH with local governments and industry events.
• Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees; present proposals to clients.
• Determine major design decisions in consultation with the client.

SEH is looking for great local people to bring to our nationally growing firm for our expansion in Arizona and the greater Phoenix market Opportunity to create your teams and client bases, with support of the expansive resources across diverse markets within a well-established firm

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple projects for a variety of clients across numerous sectors and regions
• Understanding private and public market needs and trends to identify and act on opportunities to win work
• Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion
• Recruiting, managing, mentoring, and collaboration with staff as needed to provide a positive team environment
• Maintaining an understanding of relevant regulatory programs, funding opportunities, design standards and procedures through active participation in continuing education programs and professional associations
• Representing SEH with local governments, municipalities and industry events
• Preparing project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects
• Presenting proposals to clients, interviewing for projects, and selecting project teams
• Determining major project design decisions in conjunction with client

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field of study
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona
• Experienced with design, construction and project management of projects
• Experience in client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of ten (10) years previous experience
• Previous experience in industrial/commercial development
• Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff
• Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national Civil Engineering societies and associations
