Job summary

gpac is assisting in the search for an experienced Civil Project Manager to join a well-established civil contractor in Philadelphia. The role requires leadership of civil/site development, earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure projects from preconstruction through completion.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and contracts, coordinate with owners, engineers, and field teams, and ensure projects stay on track while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil construction project management experience.
• Experience with site development, earthwork, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Ability to read civil plans and specifications.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred but not required.

Job description

A well-established and growing civil construction contractor is looking to add an experienced Civil Project Manager to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a strong background in civil/site development, earthwork, utilities, and/or infrastructure who is looking for a long-term opportunity with a respected contractor.

What You'll Do

• Manage civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall profitability
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
• Review plans, specifications, scopes, and project documents
• Manage project schedules and ensure work stays on track
• Monitor costs, change orders, billing, and project financials
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
• Work closely with Superintendents and field personnel to coordinate day-to-day project needs
• Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
• Assist with estimating, bidding, and preconstruction activities as needed
• Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of civil construction project management experience
• Experience with one or more of the following:

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
