gpac is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager in Harrison, NJ to lead civil/site development, earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure projects. You will manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships, coordinating with owners, engineers, and field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in civil construction project management, strong reading of plans and specs, and a solid background in construction management software.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of civil construction project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of site development, earthwork, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specs.
  • Proven track record managing budgets, schedules, and contracts.

Job description

A well-established and growing civil construction contractor is looking to add an experienced Civil Project Manager to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a strong background in civil/site development, earthwork, utilities, and/or infrastructure who is looking for a long-term opportunity with a respected contractor.

What You'll Do
  • Manage civil construction projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall profitability
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes, and project documents
  • Manage project schedules and ensure work stays on track
  • Monitor costs, change orders, billing, and project financials
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work closely with Superintendents and field personnel to coordinate day-to-day project needs
  • Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
  • Assist with estimating, bidding, and preconstruction activities as needed
  • Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of civil construction project management experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • Site development
    • Earthwork/grading
    • Underground utilities
    • Water/sewer/stormwater
    • Roadway/infrastructure
    • Excavation
    • Concrete/site work
    • Land development
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and project financials
  • Ability to read and interpret civil plans and specifications
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience with construction management software
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
