Job summary

Green Tanner Industrial Construction is seeking an on-site Project Manager to own the delivery of complex construction projects, including power systems and critical schedules. You will lead scope, budget, and quality, coordinating with GCs, engineers, and owners while maintaining Procore records.

You will drive cost stewardship, manage change orders, and supervise a team through planning, procurement, and turnover, ensuring safety and compliance across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years construction experience with 3+ years in management.
  • Experience with Mission Critical / Data Centers and power systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of codes, print reading, submittal process, RFIs.

Responsibilities

  • Own overall project planning, cost control, and schedule accuracy.
  • Lead contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Coordinate with owners, GC, engineers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure Procore/Bluebeam documentation is complete and auditable.
  • Develop talent and lead project teams through delivery and turnover.

Job description

1) Purpose of Role

Own the safe, profitable delivery of assigned construction projects. The PM is the highest on-site project leader and is accountable for scope, schedule, budget, quality, change, and stakeholder outcomes while operating Procore as GTI’s system of record.

2) Scope & Decision Rights
  • Project lifecycle leadership from kickoff through turnover/commissioning.
  • Self-perform and subcontracted work; coordination with general contractors, engineers, suppliers, and owner reps.
  • Typical portfolio: small, medium, and large projects with complex power systems, critical schedules, and rigorous QA/QC requirements.
3) Essential Duties and Standards
Planning & setup
  • In collaboration with the Preconstruction team, translate contract and owner priorities into a deliverable plan; define WBS, milestones, CPM logic, procurement lead times, and resource plans.
  • Support and implement project controls in Procore and Bluebeam (budgets, cost codes, RFIs, submittals, change records, document sets).
Commercial & cost control
  • Own cost stewardship: Budget Management, Cost Control, Job Costing, Forecasting, Cash Flow Management.
  • Prepare/approve cost forecasts and owner correspondence related to changes; direct pricing strategy and documentation for Change Orders.
Schedule & resources
  • Build and maintain lookaheads and CPM-based logic; drive Resource Planning and Resource Allocation with field leadership and subcontractors.
Contract administration & project controls
  • Lead Contract Management, interpret terms, and ensure timely, complete RFIs and Submittals (Construction).
  • Ensure all records, approvals, and communications are captured in Procore; maintain an auditable project file.
Quality & safety oversight
  • Champion Construction Quality Management and compliance with Building Codes and Construction Permitting requirements.
  • Partner with Safety on planning and corrective action; reinforce stop-work authority and field leadership expectations.
Stakeholder & communication
  • Set the communication cadence with owners, GCs, designers, and suppliers; model clear, proactive Communication and Negotiation.
  • Manage expectations and alignment across trades; elevate issues early, with options and impacts.
People leadership
  • Lead the project team through Leadership, People Management, Coaching, Mentorship, Team Building, and Strategic Prioritization.
  • Develop talent; assign stretch opportunities and give timely feedback.
Procurement & supply chain coordination
  • Oversee buyout strategy in partnership with Purchasing/Project Buyer; monitor supplier performance and critical deliveries.
Turnover & closeout
  • Plan and drive Project Commissioning and system turnover; coordinate punchlist, O&M, training, and document closeout.
Systems & tools
  • Procore (system of record for all project documentation, workflows, and cost/schedule communications).
  • Bluebeam Revu for document control, markups, and reviews.
  • Standard office productivity tools.

5) Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in construction with 3 years of management history
    • Field Experience preferred but not required
    • Familiar working in the following industries: Mission Critical (Data Centers) Semiconductor, Solar, Simple Cycle Power Generation, Wet Utilities/Mechanical, Mass Grading/Site Prep, Heavy Industrial/Mining Operations
  • Strong technical knowledge required for trade (National and local code requirements, familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM, print reading, specifications, submittal process, RFIs, etc.)
  • Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in trade specific engineering civil or construction management and OSHA 30 in the construction industry.
    • Optional Preferred Educational Certifications: PMP-Construction (Project Management Professional) and/or CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
    • Tradesmen licensing welcome but not required
  • Competent with the following software platforms: Procore, KOJO, AutoCAD, BIM360, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.), Bluebeam, P6 Primavera

  • Cost stewardship: Maintains reliable forecasts; proactive variance management and cash-flow health.
  • Schedule performance: Drives milestone attainment and lookahead reliability; timely recovery plans.
  • Change management: Clear documentation, timely pricing/impacts, negotiated outcomes aligned to contract.
  • Quality & compliance: Work meets design/specs; code and permitting requirements met; first-pass acceptance improves over project.
  • Documentation discipline: Procore is complete, current, and audit-ready.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction: Positive owner/GC feedback; issues escalated with options and data.
  • Team leadership & development: Demonstrated coaching, role clarity, and retention/advancement of team members.
  • Communication under pressure: Composure and sound decisions in time-critical events; lessons learned captured and shared.
