Job summary

Bolton & Menk is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) to join our Transportation team in Grand Forks, Fargo, or Bismarck. You will perform preliminary layout and design, research feasibility studies, and assist with plans and cost estimates, contributing to community infrastructure projects.

Preferred candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, PE licensure, and 4+ years in civil/transportation work, with proficiency in AutoCAD or Microstation and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 4+ years' progressive experience in civil engineering, including transportation and municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; travel reimbursement provided.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design.
• Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university or closely related
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including transportation and municipal infrastructure
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS
• Must possess a valid drivers license and their own transportation. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel
