Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Engineer, PE to join the Regional Sewer & Water Services team in the Twin Cities Metro.

You will support project managers in design and construction phases for sewer and water infrastructure, while building strong client relationships and delivering safe, sustainable communities. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 5-10 years of municipal/infrastructure design experience, and proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited post-secondary institution.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 5-10 years' progressive experience in municipal or infrastructure design.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Working knowledge and skills in CAD and design software (i.e. AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation).
• Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in design and construction phase activities for sewer and water utility projects.
• Research and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assist with project design and developing plans and specifications and preparing quantity take-off estimates and project cost estimates.
• Assist with holding informational meetings to explain construction impacts to clients and residents.
• Assist with construction administration duties: oversight, meetings, submittals, changes, pay applications, and contractor interactions.
