Job summary

A renowned engineering firm located in Baxter, MN is looking for a Project Engineer, PE to join their Municipal team. This role will involve managing multiple engineering projects, providing client advice, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, be a licensed PE in Minnesota, and possess at least 4 years of experience in municipal infrastructure. Qualifications

  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, preferably with municipal infrastructure.
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for travel to job sites.

  • Work closely with Project Managers to understand client needs.
  • Review and prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.

Position Overview

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Municipal team in our Baxter office. We are looking to add a Project Engineer, PE who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities!

What You Will Be Doing
  • Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction
  • Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
  • Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members
  • May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with municipal infrastructure preferred.
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.
  • Knowledge of MnDOT requirements.
  • Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.

Salary Range

$68,000 - $120,000 depending on years of experience and credentials.
