At AHBL, we're not just shaping cities – we're creating vibrant communities where the work is rewarding, and every project is an adventure. Our teams enjoy coming to work and flourish through innovation and creativity. Join us and be part of a dynamic company that’s as enthusiastic about transforming and designing spaces as we are about our daily office banter and team-building activities.

We're a multi-disciplined engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and land surveying firm that has been offering creative design solutions to public and private sector clients since 1969. AHBL has consistently been recognized as one of the premier local consulting firms in the Northwest and a top place to work. Our people love it here because we don't do cookie-cutter work; we work collaboratively on the most diverse, complex, and fascinating projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role you will work on a wide range of projects, including K-12 schools, higher education, municipal buildings, stormwater retrofits, parks, and healthcare facilities. You will collaborate with clients and other team members in preparing civil engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for site developments, local roads, stormwater, and utility improvements, including grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water, and other related work.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • A high level of organization and communication to help us drive projects to completion.
  • Diligent attention to detail because the details are what make a project successful.
  • A desire to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
  • Motivation to meet our clients’ deadlines and rise to the occasion when the pressure is on.

Here's our list of must-haves:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • PE License
  • 4+ years of civil engineering site design experience for public and private development projects
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Proficient in stormwater modeling using WWHM, MGS Flood and other software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability and desire to deliver excellent client services
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Ranges are based on a 40-hour work week.

  • $94,000 - $123,000.
  • Annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
  • 100% paid employee medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance and long-term disability protection. Subsidized dependent coverage.
  • Option of PPO health plan or HDHP with Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contribution.
  • Optional Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Benefits. PTO is accrued at 16.5 days (132 hours) annually for new hires.
  • 8 company-paid holidays each calendar year.
  • Discretionary company-matched 401(k) plan.
