Jobot is seeking a Professional Engineer to lead transportation and infrastructure design efforts in a hybrid Chicago setting. The role requires 5+ years of experience, PE licensure, and a track record in roadways, bridges, and multi-modal planning.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in transportation or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience in roadway design, bridge design or rehabilitation, streetscape or trail planning, and/or transportation planning.
• Experience on multi-modal transportation projects is desirable.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, HEC-RAS, etc.
• Strong understanding of roadway alignment, drainage design, pavement, stormwater, lighting, and maintenance-of-traffic planning.
• Ability to lead or coordinate complex transportation design projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate transportation design projects from concept to construction documentation.
• Collaborate with public agencies, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and deliver public presentations and outreach as needed.
• Ensure quality and compliance with project requirements and standards.
