Job summary

CEC is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to support land development and site development projects. You will serve as a key technical resource, prepare design calculations, plans, reports, and permitting documents, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited college or university and five years’ related experience.
• Oklahoma or Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong English reading/writing; ability to write reports and present to groups.
• Proficient PC skills including email, databases, word processing, spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Serves as project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact.
• Assists with estimating, pricing, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
• Develops feasible engineering design alternatives to meet project requirements.
• Utilizes software to create detailed drawings and layouts for land development and site plans; e.g., building footprint, grading, drainage.
• Prepares design computations and quantity estimates; prepares reports, studies, and permitting documents.
• Reviews and approves monthly billing for assigned projects; coordinates with project team on design issues.
• Coordinates with other engineers, designers, and technicians; ensures QC/QA procedures are followed.
• Develops and maintains client relationships; supports business development efforts.
