Job Description

Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer III to join our Stormwater Group located in our Charlotte, NC office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues and support stormwater management designs.
  2. Complete calculations using engineering formulas and software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM.
  3. Design stormwater control measures, retrofit designs, and related projects.
  4. Conduct research and prepare reports to communicate project results.
  5. Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
  6. Participate in field data collection and construction observation.
  7. Communicate with clients and team members as directed by the Project Manager.
Skills and Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. 5-8 years of water resources engineering experience, including municipal drainage and proficiency in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Knowledge of CADD software, preferably Civil 3D.
  5. Dependability, responsibility, and good communication skills.
  6. Valid driver’s license.
