Civil Project Engineer II/III - Traffic Analysis and Planning

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Traffic Analysis and Planning to join our Traffic Analysis and Planning Group in Raleigh, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis.
• Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation.
• Perform calculations using engineering formulas and/or computer tools to solve problems.
• Research and write objective summary reports for project completion.
• Assist in preparing engineering planning schedules and cost estimates.
• Conduct field observation, inspection, and data collection.
• Communicate with client staff and internal teams.
• Present results and recommendations to the public.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2-6 years of experience in Transportation/Traffic Engineering and Planning preferred.
• Proficiency in Synchro/SIDRA/HCS.
• Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Forecasting, Signal Design, ITS, and Signal Timing preferred.
• Experience with bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal projects preferred.
• Basic CAD and GIS knowledge preferred.
• Experience with DOT and local agencies preferred.
• PE/EIT certification preferred.
