Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join their Raleigh office. The successful candidate will be responsible for site development engineering and project management, working on diverse residential and public land development projects. Candidates should bring 2 to 10 years of relevant experience with required knowledge in design and permitting, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

  • Two to ten years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Ideal candidates would have EIT preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Timmons Group is currently seeking aCivil Project Engineer II/III - Land Developmentcandidate to join our Residential and PublicLand Development Groupslocated in ourRaleigh, NC office location location.

Project Engineer II/IIIs are Civil Engineers with 2 to 10 years' experience. The qualified individual will perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential, commercial and public land development projects. Candidates should have experience with site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Projects will include a variety of land development site designs. In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, task management and team collaboration on design.

Essential duties and responsibilitiesof a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technology
  • Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems
  • Prepare specifications materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project
  • Work to complete design details and plan sets
  • Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work or inspection
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
  • Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff
  • Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff

Skills/Requirementsof a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related degree
  • Ideal candidates would havetwo to ten yearsof experience in civil engineering, EITpreferred
  • Working knowledge AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
