Job summary

You will develop design drawings and specifications, prepare cost estimates, and oversee graduate engineers while ensuring quality control. Responsibilities include supporting project scope, schedules, and budgets; attending team meetings; and liaising with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of related professional experience.
• Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain registration within one year in Utah.
• Proven track record of working together with teams of technical professionals and projects.

Responsibilities

• In your role as Project Engineer, you will be part of our growing team by performing the functions and duties listed below:
• Accountable for systematic and consistent design for multiple engineering projects, contributing to the overall success of the office and organization.
• Develop design drawings and specifications coordinating with other disciplines as necessary, exercising judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Calculate and prepare planning and design documents and reports including details and cost estimates for projects based on engineering knowledge and familiarity with codes and regulations.
• Assist project manager with management tasks and oversee graduate engineers assigned to projects.
• Attend team and project coordination meetings and perform 3D CAD design.
• Establish professional working relationships with clients and contractors and attend client meetings as required.
