Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of land development experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• EIT certification required.
• Experience with grading, drainage, and utility design for commercial projects.
• Working knowledge of relevant regulations and codes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site design plans for commercial land development projects.
• Develop grading plans, drainage calculations, and utility infrastructure designs.
• Coordinate water, sewer, storm drainage, dry utilities, and related improvements.
• Review zoning ordinances, development regulations, and agency requirements.
• Conduct due diligence, utility research, regulatory reviews, and site investigations.
• Prepare conceptual site plans and development layouts.
• Develop erosion and sediment control plans and supporting calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and municipalities throughout project execution.
• Support Project Managers with project coordination and delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team success.

Tiello is partnered with a growing site development consultancy specializing in civil engineering, land development, utilities, surveying, planning, and permitting for commercial projects across the U.S.

The Project Engineer will support the design and execution of commercial land development projects while working closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, and municipalities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineer looking to grow into a Project Manager role while gaining hands‑on experience across all phases of site development.
