Job summary

DCI Engineers is seeking a Civil Project Engineer in Coeur d'Alene, ID. The role involves working on site development projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.

You will perform grading, drainage, utilities, and road design, coordinating with engineers and drafting teams while contributing to technical reports and observations. A ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and 1+ year experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of civil engineering experience.
• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree.
• Experience with grading, drainage, and utility design.
• Familiarity with stormwater modeling and technical reports.
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development design including grading, drainage, sewers, water, erosion control, and road design (profile layouts).
• Coordinate with engineering and drafting teams on design details and documents.
• Plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
• Attend design meetings as directed by the Project Manager.
• Review submittals, prepare technical reports, perform conveyance calculations, and write observation reports.

What You’ll Do:

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will work on site development projects and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs:

• Collaborate with engineering and drafting teams to coordinate design details and construction document requirements
• Plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work
• Attend design meetings, as directed by the Project Manager
• Review submittals, prepare technical reports, perform routine conveyance calculations, and write observation reports

To succeed as a Civil Project Engineer, you should bring the following skills and experiences:

• Minimum 1 yearof civil engineering experience
• Experience with grading, stormwater management, and utility design
• Familiarity with stormwater modeling and technical information reports
• Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships
• Effective communication skills with clients and project teams
• Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
