Job summary

Selectek, Inc. in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a Civil Engineer with a PE to design and lead land development projects for corporate, higher education, and government clients.

The ideal candidate will supervise staff and support the CE Manager with leadership duties. Responsibilities include creating and submitting plans, permitting packages, cost estimates, and contract documents; maintaining QA processes and project documentation; and mentoring engineers while participating in site visits and

Qualifications

• BSCE with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with site grading, layout, drainage, water, sewer, earthwork and sediment control.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• PE License (Professional Engineer) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil design / construction plans, including notes and details.
• Create and submit project permitting packages.
• Prepare construction cost estimates.
• Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding.
• Follow QA/C Quality process within engineering department.
• Maintain timekeeping and weekly timesheets.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors for project execution.
• Represent the company professionally in all communications.
• Produce and review technical specifications and reports; attend project meetings.
• Train and direct engineering interns or less experienced engineers.
• Identify training opportunities and participate as directed by manager.
• Participate in project site visits and facility audits as necessary.
• Provide feedback on company policies to improve efficiencies.

Selectek is searching for a Civil Engineer with a PE to design and work on land development projects for Corp, Higher Education, and Government Projects in the Kennesaw, GA area. Preferred candidate has experience supervising staff and be willing to assist the CE Manager as needed in providing leadership/support to the Engineers.

Job Description

• Prepare civil design / construction plans, including notes and details, plans.

• Keep up with timekeeping and reporting daily, submitting weekly timesheets at the end of every week.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors effectively as required for job execution.
• Represent company in a professional and positive manner in all communications, whether written or verbal.
• Follow company file management procedures in maintaining project documentation.
• Produce and review technical specifications and reports Attend project and company meetings as directed by team leads or manager
