Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of field experience and/or education in construction technology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to plan job tasks and job durations into a work schedule.
• May require company qualifications for proprietary software.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Reviews historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity reports to estimate worker-hours and materials.
• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and required contents of the estimate.
• Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of the scope of work.
• Maintain files of working documents and backup for estimate figures; follow contracts as assigned.
