Job summary

RVE, an Ardurra Company, seeks a Civil/Municipal Engineering Intern in our Glen Mills, PA Office to support municipal projects under supervision. You will assist with roadway, drainage, stormwater and site design, collect data, prepare plans and documents, and coordinate with municipalities and utilities.

This role offers exposure to design software and the full project lifecycle. You are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, with strong organization, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interest in civil engineering, municipal infrastructure, and local government work.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, able to work independently.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, site development and municipal systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform entry‑level civil engineering tasks for municipal projects.
• Assist with roadway, drainage, stormwater, utility, water, wastewater and site improvement design.
• Support data collection, basic calculations, reports and project documentation.
• Help prepare plans, maps, exhibits and other design documents.
• Coordinate with municipalities, utilities, contractors and stakeholders.
• Review civil drawings and project documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with field investigations and site visits to document conditions.
• Develop basic familiarity with applicable regulations and design standards.
