Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Civil/Mechanical Superintendent for a 1-year Solar project in Juno Beach, FL. The Owner’s Representative will oversee civil and structural construction, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and performance as defined by the EPC contract.

The role requires field leadership, review of drawings, coordination with EPC teams, and QA/QC inspections. The position is on‑site for the project duration with per diem availability and reports to the Construction

Qualifications

• Experience leading field teams on civil/structural construction projects.
• Ability to review Civil/Mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong scheduling, planning and progress reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office and Unifier for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review Safety Documents and Policies.
• Review Contract Documents (Scope of work).
• Review Civil/Mechanical Drawings and Specifications.
• Ensure SWPPP installation and maintenance per permit.
• Ensure EPC schedules for Pre‑Cons for new tasks.
• Review Civil/Mechanical Checklist.
• Attend EPC Safety, Craft Tailgates and Management Meetings.
• Perform daily field walks and observations with field crews.
• Perform QA/QC inspections and walk‑downs on construction activities.
• Monitor Unifier uploads by EPC.
• Complete QA/QC inspections in Unifier per frequency and activity completion.
• Track Open Action Items or Punchlist.

Opportunity Overview

Civil/Mechanical Superintendent, Solar – Juno Beach, FL. 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). You will be the Owner’s Representative to oversee the civil and structural aspects of the solar plant construction and ensure adherence of the EPC to all Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Performance expectations as defined by the EPC’s Scope of Work and contractual commitments.

Location: On construction site for duration of project; per diem available.

Reports To: Construction Manager Solar, Engineering and Construction.

Your Day‑to‑Day

• Review Safety Documents and Policies.
• Review Contract Documents (Scope of work).
• Review Civil/Mechanical Drawings and Specifications.
• Ensure SWPPP installation and maintenance per permit.
• Ensure EPC schedules for Pre‑Cons for new tasks.
• Review Civil/Mechanical Checklist.

Who You Are

• Comprehend Construction Drawings/Prints.
• People Management experience.
• Strong organization, scheduling/planning, and progress reporting skills.
• Effective communication with contractors, management, and third parties.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry and uploads.
• Industrial experience in Civil and Structural construction (minimum 4 years).

Base salary range for this position is estimated to be $55.00/hr to $60.00/hr, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
