Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Civil/Mechanical Engineer to provide technical planning, design, and construction support for water utility and civil projects in Fort Worth, TX. You will prepare calculations and design reports using local standards and assist with permit submittals.

The role requires 0-3 years of related experience, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit. EIT preferred; collaboration and client relations are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge/experience with AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit is preferred.
• EIT preferred.
• Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on water utility and related civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Review plans and specifications.
• Prepare or assist with permit submittals.
• Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Assist with or review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
• Monitor task budget and progress.
• Document design changes and communications.
• Conduct on-site inspections as needed.
• Prepare project status and other reports.
• Assist in preparing proposals.
• Assist Project Managers.
• Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings.
• Maintain excellent client relations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
