AECOM’s Water Business Line seeks a Civil Manager to join the Los Angeles area team. Lead technical design for water resources projects, develop hydrologic/hydraulic models, and manage construction package deliverables in a hybrid work setting.

You will mentor staff, oversee project teams, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with regulations while delivering sustainable, resilient water infrastructure solutions for flood control and stormwater programs.

Competenze

• BA/BS + 8 Years of related experience in drainage design or demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) in CA or ability to obtain within 6 months of work.

Mansioni

• Assist with the preparation and completion of construction package deliverables (design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, alternatives analysis, technical memoranda, and design documentation reports).
• Generate conceptual layouts/designs of flood control structures, floodgates, channels, culverts, headwalls, detention ponds, spillways, rock drains, and underground storm drain systems.
• Serve as lead engineer or discipline lead on mid- to large-size projects.
• Work with clients to provide long-term stormwater management solutions for clean water projects.
• Develop project proposals and support the surface water practice in Los Angeles region.
• Provide direction to and mentor other technical staff on project tasks.
• Perform independent technical reviews of engineering reports and design, sign off on work.
• May be responsible for project teams that include 5+ members across disciplines including subcontractors.
• Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering project focusing on surface water projects.
• Provide client advice on engineering matters including compliance with government regulations.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design.
• Prepare and review working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products.
• Analyze and design stormwater drainage systems, hydraulic structures, and roadway drainage.
