Job summary

Stites & Harbison PLLC is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Attorney to join our Jeffersonville, IN team. The ideal candidate will handle general civil litigation or matters involving financial institutions and maintain a portfolio of complex cases with strategic case planning.

The role requires a JD, an active Kentucky license, and 3–5 years of civil litigation experience including research, writing, and effective client communication.

Qualifications

  • JD required from an accredited law school.
  • Active Kentucky law license in good standing required.
  • 3–5 years of civil litigation experience with a track record of success.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of complex litigation cases.
  • Experience with all phases of litigation: evaluation, discovery, and trial prep.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of complex litigation cases.
  • Develop and execute case strategy including evaluation, discovery, and trial prep.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Coordinate with litigation support staff to prepare for trial.
  • Represent clients in court and conduct direct/cross-examinations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team on complex issues.
  • Keep clients informed of developments and risks.
