Job summary

Orion Placement invites a qualified attorney to join a civil litigation practice in South Bend, Indiana. You will handle a broad range of matters from intake to resolution, with direct client contact and collaboration with experienced litigators.

The role offers hybrid flexibility after training and a clear path for long-term growth in a respected regional firm. Indiana bar admission or prompt licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Indiana law license preferred, or ability to become licensed promptly.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong writing, research, advocacy, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage files independently and professionally.
• Deposition, hearing, mediation, or trial preparation experience preferred.
• Portable business is welcome, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, settlement documents, and client correspondence
• Conduct legal research and develop practical case strategy
• Manage discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, negotiations, and court appearances
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members
• Work on business disputes, contract litigation, employment matters, real estate disputes, construction issues, and related litigation
• Collaborate with partners and staff while independently managing assigned matters

Location:
