Job summary

Confidential Employer. in Castle Rock, CO seeks a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to manage civil matters and support experienced attorneys. This in-person role requires a Colorado Bar license, 1+ year of civil litigation, and strong research and advocacy skills.

You will draft pleadings, handle discovery, participate in depositions and hearings, and build client relationships while collaborating with the firm’s team to deliver outstanding results.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Colorado Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with litigation pleadings, motions, discovery, and case preparation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and provide outstanding client service.
• A collaborative mindset, strong professional judgment, and attention to detail.
• Courtroom and deposition experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent individuals, businesses, and organizations in civil litigation matters, including contractual and commercial disputes.
• Manage cases through discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective case strategies tailored to each client's needs.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, court hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Analyze evidence, evaluate legal risks, and provide clear, practical legal advice to clients.
• Negotiate favorable resolutions while preparing cases for litigation when necessary.
• Build strong client relationships through responsive communication, professionalism, and effective advocacy.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm while independently managing case responsibilities and deadlines.
