Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Active Kansas Bar admission.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with discovery, motions, depositions, and courtroom proceedings, or interest in developing these.
• Experience in commercial litigation, insurance defense, or healthcare negligence defense is welcome.
• Missouri admission desirable.
• Collaborative, proactive approach to practicing law.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with civil litigation matters involving commercial disputes, insurance defense, healthcare negligence defense, products liability, and related areas.
• Handle discovery, draft pleadings and motions, conduct legal research, and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Participate in depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trial preparation.
• Work closely with experienced litigators while taking increasing ownership of cases.
• Deliver thoughtful, practical legal solutions while building strong professional relationships.
