We are currently seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join our growing practice. Our firm proudly represents public safety professionals, employee associations, government agencies, and public entities. We also handle estate planning, family law, and general civil litigation matters for public safety employees.

Position Overview
As a Civil Litigation Associate, you will be an integral part of our litigation team, handling a wide range of complex legal matters. The ideal candidate is driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality representation from intake through resolution.

Key Responsibilities
-Manage civil litigation cases from inception through trial or settlement.

- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; take/defend depositions.

- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy memos and briefs.

-Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.

- Support trial preparation and, when appropriate, participate in trial proceedings.

- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues.

- Collaborate on case strategy with senior partners.

- Ensure deadlines are met and case documentation is thorough and up to date.

-Provide guidance to junior attorneys or support staff as needed.

Qualifications
-Minimum 4 years of civil litigation federal and state experience, preferably with exposure to public entity defense, labor/employment law, or police defense.
-Demonstrated experience managing cases, drafting substantive motions, and preparing for trial.
-Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
-Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
-Highly organized and capable of managing multiple active cases.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
