Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join our Austin team handling meaningful defense work with a collegial group and solid work-life balance. Rollingwood, TX office is on-site and part of a growing practice.

You will manage depositions, draft dispositive motions, coordinate with claims professionals and senior trial lawyers, and help prepare cases for mediation and trial. A Texas bar license and 3+ years of civil litigation experience are required; strong writing and communication

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing.
• Minimum 3+ years in civil litigation.
• Experience defending personal injury, premises liability, auto/trucking, construction or general liability.
• Hands-on with discovery, depositions, motions and mediation; trial exposure a plus.
• Strong writing and clear communication with clients, adjusters and colleagues.

Job Details

• Active license to practice law in Texas, in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience; insurance defense experience strongly preferred
• Experience defending personal injury, premises liability, auto or trucking, construction or general liability claims
• Hands on with written discovery, depositions, dispositive motions and mediation; trial or second chair experience a plus
• Strong writer and clear communicator who builds trust with clients, adjusters and colleagues
• Sound judgment, discretion and the ability to manage an active caseload with increasing independence
• Team oriented, client focused and motivated by courtroom results
